Councilmember David Grosso announces the scheduling of a public roundtable of the Committee on Education on arts in traditional and public charter schools and PR22-0523, the “Sense of the Council Arts Humanities in Education Resolution of 2017”. The roundtable will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018 in Hearing Room 412 of the John A. Wilson Building.
The stated purpose of PR22-0523 is to declare the sense of the Council that the District of Columbia is committed to promoting arts and humanities education in both traditional and public charter schools.
Those who wish to testify may sign-up online at http://bit.do/educationhearings or call the Committee on Education at (202) 724-8061 by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Persons wishing to testify are encouraged, but not required, to submit 15 copies of written testimony. Witnesses appearing on their own behalf should limit their testimony to three minutes; witnesses representing organizations should limit their testimony to five minutes.
If you are unable to testify at the hearing, written statements are encouraged and will be made a part of the official record. Written statements should be submitted to Ashley Strange, Committee Assistant, via email at email@example.com, or via post to the Committee on Education, Council of the District of Columbia, Suite 116 of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20004. The record will close at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018.
