        Councilmember David Grosso announces the scheduling of a public roundtable of the Committee on Education on RC22-0094 “OSSE Enhanced Special Education Services Act of 2014: Implementation Report to the Council of the District of Columbia.” The roundtable will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 20, 2017 in Hearing Room 412 of the John A. Wilson Building.

        The purpose of this roundtable is to review the Implementation Report on the Enhanced Special Education Services Act of 2014 submitted by the Mayor as well as hear public testimony about the state of special education in the District of Columbia. 

        Those who wish to testify may sign-up online at bit.do/EducationHearings or call the Committee on Education at (202) 724-8061 by 5:00 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2017. Persons wishing to testify are encouraged, but not required, to submit 10 copies of written testimony.  Witnesses appearing on their own behalf should limit their testimony to three minutes; witnesses representing organizations should limit their testimony to five minutes. 

        If you are unable to testify at the hearing, written statements are encouraged and will be made a part of the official record.  Written statements should be submitted by email to Ashley Strange, astrange@dccouncil.us, or by post to the Committee on Education, Council of the District of Columbia, Suite 116 of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20004.  The record will close at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 4, 2017.
